ALISE SHAFER IVEY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/MENTOR
ALISE SHAFER IVEY is the Executive Director of the Pedagogical Institute and the founder of Evergreen Community School. She has worked with schools throughout the US and abroad including China, New Zealand, Nepal, Israel, Peru, Australia, and Brazil. She is a frequent lecturer on early childhood education and has taught Child Development at both UCLA Extension and Santa Monica College. She is a contributing author in the book, Teaching and Learning: Collaborative Exploration of the Reggio Emilia Approach and a TEDx Sunset Park speaker.
NICOLE MARIE brings a background in anthropology and the arts to over a decade of teaching. She formerly taught at Evergreen Community School where she mentored classroom teachers, as well as visiting educators from all over the globe. She’s presented nationally and regionally on topics ranging from The Competent Child to The Culture of Children’s Dance. Her writing has been featured in Exchange Magazine.

CRISTINA BARVO is an Early Childhood Educator with eight years of experience teaching and consulting. After working at Evergreen Community School and visiting the Reggio Emilia Institute in Sweden, she became a founding member of the Pedagogical Institute of Los Angeles where she has trained teachers from all over the US and around the world.

JAMIE ROSSFELD MENTOR
JAMIE ROSSFELD is an early childhood educator who holds degrees in Human Development from Cornell University and Pacific Oaks College. She formerly taught at Evergreen Community School and worked with teachers there in a mentorship role. Jaime is passionate about using documentation in teaching and learning and has worked with children in varying roles for twenty years.

NAOMI HUDSON - KNAPP is an atelierista and visual artist with more than 15 years teaching experience. She has degrees from Pratt Institute and Bank Street College of Education.
